IPL 2026: Why Experts are Valuing Rajasthan Royals’ Vaibhav Sooryavanshi at ₹50 Crore

There is a lot of talk about Vaibhav Suryavanshi in IPL 2026. At the age of just 15, he is breaking records. In the Eliminator match played on Wednesday, Suryavanshi played a historic innings of 97 runs in 29 balls. This innings included 12 sixes. With these 12 sixes, he made the record for hitting the most sixes in a season. He broke Chris Gayle’s 14-year-old record.

This 15-year-old wonder boy was bought by Rajasthan Royals in the auction last year. When Rajasthan bought him in the auction, the only rival was Delhi Capitals, who wanted to buy the 13-year-old Vaibhav. But now if this young player’s name comes up for the auction, then every team will want to include him in their team. Former cricketer Akash Chopra said that if the franchise’s purse is 200 crores, then Vaibhav can be bought for 50 crores.

Akash Chopra said, “Rajasthan Royals will try their best to retain Vaibhav Suryavanshi. There is no possibility of him coming to the auction, but if he comes to the auction table, he can become the most expensive player in the history of IPL. I have no doubt about it.”

How much money will Vaibhav Suryavanshi be sold for?

The former cricketer said, “Rishabh Pant was bought by Lucknow Super Giants for 27 crores. Vaibhav will be sold for 30 crores. Teams will keep 30 crores for him and some brave teams will spend even 33 crores for him. But if he comes to the auction, then all the previous auction records will be broken. The purse is unknown. If the purse is 200 crores, Vaibhav Suryavanshi can get 50 crores.”
