‘The Vvaan: Force of the Forest’ is the new film starring popular Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra and actress Tamannaah Bhatia. The movie has been released in theatres. While the duo is seen together on screen for the first time, there is immense excitement among the audience regarding the film. It has garnered high praise from critics and on social media. This impressive opening of ‘The Vvaan’ has surpassed and overshadowed the 50th-day collection of ‘Hanuman Ansh’, a film based on Neem Karoli Baba. According to media reports, the film’s total budget ranges from approximately ₹80 crore to ₹100 crore. It has been released in 5,401 cinema halls across the country. As per ‘Sacnilk’ reports, the film garnered a net collection of ₹8 crore and a gross collection of ₹9.60 crore on its opening day. Meanwhile, the film ‘Hanu-Man’—based on the life of Nimna Karauli Baba—earned ₹3.35 crore on Friday, marking its 50th day, with its total worldwide collection reaching ₹381.35 crore.
The film’s story begins in the forests of Devanchal during the 7th century. Entry into the area is prohibited after sunset, yet the King is compelled to venture into the forest, marking the beginning of the mystery. The story then jumps directly to the year 2026. The film is directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, known for the popular web series ‘Panchayat’. A master at storytelling set in rural landscapes, Deepak has made a beautiful attempt here to bring traditions like Chhath Puja—rooted in folklore—to the Bollywood screen. While the first half is quite thrilling, viewers feel the story loses its way somewhat in the second half.
