Social media platform ‘X’ has made a major change in its monetization system. Now it will not be easy to earn money from low-quality and clickbait content on this platform. This decision has been taken under the leadership of Elon Musk to improve the quality of content. According to this rule, now original and valuable content will get more priority. This will encourage creators to create good content and reduce spam and unnecessary posts on the platform.
‘X’ has been facing criticism for engagement farming for a long time. People used to post low-quality or viral videos to increase views and likes. Now the platform has decided to downgrade such content. The company’s product head Nikita Bayer said that the system is now being designed in such a way that users who create original and original content can be recognized. The aim is to give more benefits to people who work hard, create new content, and not just those who share other people’s content and make it viral.
According to the new update, X is changing its revenue sharing program. The platform will reward creators who create original and high-quality content more. According to Nikita, the company is working on tools that can identify the real creators of content and give them a direct share of the revenue. This means that earnings from reposts or comments may be limited. Additionally, views earned through replies, which were previously counted, have now been removed from monetization, thereby preventing reply spam.
To earn money on the platform, users now have to meet certain conditions. According to X, creators must have a Premium or Premium Plus subscription and at least 500 followers. In addition, they must achieve 5 million organic impressions in three months. According to the company, organic views earned on the home timeline will be given more weight. In addition, views from verified users and Premium Plus subscribers will be given more weight.
