The Nepal government took two important decisions on Sunday. According to this, now two days of weekly holiday will be declared for government offices on Saturday and Sunday. The new decision has fixed the opening hours of government offices from 9 am to 5 pm.
Government spokesperson Susmit Pokharel said that government offices and educational institutions will now be closed on Saturday and Sunday. He said that this decision has been taken due to the problem caused by the supply of petroleum. In Nepal, only Saturday was available as a weekly holiday, but from this week, Saturday and Sunday have also been declared as holidays.
The Council of Ministers meeting has decided to extend the working hours of all government offices, except for educational institutions, from 9 am to 5 pm. This time limit will be applicable to all government offices, except for educational institutions. Till now, government offices in Nepal used to work from 10 am to 5 pm, which has been extended by 1 hour in the morning. This new system will be implemented across the country from Monday. Now, employees in government offices will have to report at 1 am, i.e. 9 am, so that efficiency is not affected.
