A new song from actor Salman Khan’s war drama film ‘Mathrubhumi: Mein Rest In Peace’ has been released on the special occasion of Eid-Ul-Zuhar. It is an emotional track that is deeply immersed in the spirit of patriotism. Salman shared a clip of the song on Instagram and captioned it ‘Geet Main Hoon.’ It is not a romantic song about Salman and Chitrangada but a heartfelt one. The song captures the pain of separation from the lover and the lovers, both of them.
In the music video, actress Chitrangada is seen clearly emotional about Salman, and the visual sequences are rendered in black and white. The emotional track has been sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Ayan Lal. After watching the song, fans have expressed their excitement about the film.
The film stars Salman as Colonel Santosh Babu, who was the commander of the 16th Bihar Regiment during the situation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). Actress Chitrangada will be seen in the lead role. Along with this, actors Abhilash Choudhary and Ankur Bhatia will also be seen playing important roles in the film. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film will feature several veteran actors in important supporting roles. The historical war drama is based on the India-China clash that took place in the Galwan Valley in 2020. The film was initially scheduled to release on 17 April 2026; however, it has been delayed due to objections by the Ministry of Defense and the Censor Board and the need for some reshoots. The film is now expected to hit the screens on 14 August.
