A video of him has been released on social media in which he says that he is very happy with the tribunal’s decision and is eager to return to India.

News agency ANI has shared this video of Lalit Modi, in which he says, “I am very happy with the decision that came yesterday. Truly, this day was a very good day. I fought for 16 years, and what I told the media and everyone else has finally been proven true. I am very happy that the tribunal has given a verdict in my favor.”
He added, “I was only worried about the welfare of the IPL and nothing else. That is the most important thing for me. Now that chapter is behind me, I will move on with my life and look forward to returning to India. I will return either by the end of this year or early next year. I am expecting a grandchild in October, and hopefully, everything will be fine and I will return.” After the verdict, he celebrated his victory by sharing a video of it on his official X account.
However, Lalit Modi also clarified that he will stay in London but will continue to visit India. He will establish his son in the family business in India, and since India is his birthplace, he will continue to visit India.
Reassurance in FEMA case…
2009 Lalit Modi has got a big reassurance in the FEMA case. The Appellate Tribunal under the Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators Act (SAFEMA) has given important assurances to Lalit Modi and other appellants in the 2009 IPL South Africa FEMA case. The tribunal has set aside most of the decisions of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and imposed fines. Lalit Modi was seen very happy with the decision and shared this video.
It is worth noting that Lalit Modi left India in 2010. The ED had filed charges of financial irregularities against him, after which he left the country. However, now that he has got a big assurance in this case, he is planning to return home. He is also going to become a grandfather in October, so his return to India is considered certain.
