The film ‘PK’, which came out in 2014, was a huge blockbuster hit. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, this film has a rating of 8.1 on IMDb and made at a cost of about Rs 122 crore, the film has collected Rs 854 crore worldwide. The story was about an alien who accidentally lands on Earth. Then, slowly, the mystery of the adulation and superstition being spread by humans in the name of religion begins to unfold. But very few people know that director Rajkumar Hirani had written 2 more scripts for this film, which were later rejected. Let’s know about these scripts.
Rajkumar Hirani himself had said in an interview that he initially thought of keeping the story like this, in which the lead hero is actually a logical person. This person goes to villages and shows people how religious gurus are fooling people. This man, who has a deep knowledge of science and psychology, performs all the magic tricks that his religious teacher performs for him and takes money. This story was initially considered. But the concept was later scrapped.
When the makers started thinking about this direction, another idea came to their mind that was compatible with it. It was more extensive than the original story. When Rajkumar Hirani and his writing team went to work on the second draft, they thought, how would it be if the protagonist of the story was made into a wild young man. Hirani thought that the hero of the film would be a young boy, who had gone missing 20 years ago, but who would return to human civilization after a long time. However, this script was also rejected for various reasons and then the final script was written.
The makers thought how can the hero of the film be shown as an alien, who will first learn the language of the customs and beliefs of this place and then the situation will be such that he will have to open the polls of the religious leaders and baba here. Because the hero also needed a goal for this, that remote-like concept was kept in the story, which is called Mani by a baba who fools the whole world. This film is considered one of Aamir Khan’s biggest hits.
