This emergency alert is being sent to the mobile as a test. The Department of Telecom has informed that such messages should be ignored and not panicked. In future, such messages will come in case of emergency. This was just a test. This message has been sent to everyone by the Department of Telecommunications of the Ministry of Home Affairs. It has come to everyone’s mobile. In future, with the help of such messages, the Government of India is trying to convey important information to the citizens.

This message says that India has started cell broadcast using indigenous technology to provide rapid disaster warning services to its citizens. Aware citizen, safe country. No action is required from the public after receiving this message. This is an experimental message.

The Integrated Alert System (SACHET), developed by the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), a major research and development centre of the Department of Telecommunications, NDMA, has been successfully activated. Through this alert system, messages will be sent to the people about natural disasters, weather related news, flood-like incidents. More than 134 billion message alerts can be sent in more than 19 Indian languages.

Israel is sending messages to its citizens through this technology to keep them safe from missile, drone or rocket attacks.
