Free AI Scholarships for 15,000 Creators! Govt Partners with Google and YouTube

New Delhi, 26/03: The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, has announced the launch of the AI ​​​​Skills Program. The program aims to teach about 15 thousand people across the country artificial intelligence (AI) skills that can be directly used in the industry.

The program is specially designed for creative and media professionals so that they can keep up with new technologies and be ready for the future. The program will provide AI training in areas such as animation, visual effects (VFX), gaming, comics, and media technology. The program will be run by the Indian Institute of Creative Technologies (IICT), and Google and YouTube will play a key role in it. Together, the three have created a curriculum that will teach advanced AI tools, creative workflows, and the proper use of platforms, which will provide great opportunities for the next generation of creators and professionals. This AI skills program will be completed in two phases by 2026. In the first phase, people will be given the basic knowledge of AI so that they can develop their understanding of it.

In this phase, 15,000 people will be awarded Google Career Certificates and scholarships for Google Cloud’s Generative AI course. This will be followed by the second phase, which will provide practical training, in which they will work on real projects. The program will teach storytelling and use Google’s advanced AI tools, such as Gemini, Veo, and Vertex AI. It will also teach how to create content on YouTube, improve it, and reach more people.
