State Bank of India (SBI) has planned to recruit 1,500 Probationary Officers (POs) this year. The recruitment process will be completed by December. Out of the total 1,500 posts, 1,446 are regular and 54 are backlog posts. Applicants must be a graduate in any discipline. The minimum age for applying should be 21 years. The online application and fee payment process will continue till July 8. The call letter for the preliminary examination will be released in the second or third week of July.
According to the SBI annual report, the bank has recruited 4,640 officers and thousands of employees in the financial year 2025-26. The bank’s annual attrition rate is less than 1 percent (0.97%). This is the lowest in the industry. The share of women in the bank’s total employees is 28.54%. Apart from this, SBI also hires officers with expertise in areas like IT, risk management, law and data analytics.
