Ram Mandir Donation Scam: Fake Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Trust Receipt Books Seized In Mega Raid

Every day, new shocking facts are coming to light in the Ram Mandir theft case. As the police investigation progresses, the criminal activities of the accused are becoming more and more obvious. Now, another big revelation has been made in this case. Based on the information of the arrested accused, the police have seized an old fake donation receipt book made in the name of ‘Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust’. According to sources, during interrogation, the accused confessed that they were not only stealing money from the donation box, but also were collecting lakhs of rupees by cutting fake receipts from the devotees. The arrested accused Tinnu Yadav, Love Kush, Karunesh and Anukalp were giving these fake receipts to the devotees who donated in the initial stage. The most surprising thing is that the authentic logo of the trust was also used in these fake receipts. Since it looked like a completely genuine receipt, the devotees were easily convinced and fell victim to such fraud.

After the temple administration implemented a new online receipt system, the accused stopped using these paper receipts. After the paper receipts were stopped, devotees started collecting receipts directly from the trust’s bank account or from the government donation counters in the temple premises. After the entire theft case came to light, the then general secretary of the trust, Champat Roy, is now under suspicion. It is alleged that Champat Roy came to know about the theft only on June 5 and also recovered the stolen money with the help of the police. However, no formal FIR was filed at that time, which has now sparked a big controversy.

The issue was discussed vigorously in a meeting of the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust. Trust members have expressed the opinion that if the case had been registered at that time, the controversy would not have escalated to this extent. Some important questions have been raised in the meeting regarding Champat Roy’s role. Who gave Champat Roy the authority to inspect and seize the money at his own level? Why was there a delay in filing an FIR even after the money was recovered? Why will no action be taken against the officials in charge of security and counting of the trust?

It is worth noting that on June 7, after Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav made the matter public, there was a nationwide outcry. Champat Roy was very influential at the national level after the construction of the Ram temple and the inauguration of the trust, but after this theft case, his image has now been questioned. According to sources, if the trust officials are found to have neglected their duties, then a criminal case may also be registered against them.
