The US-Iran war has come to a standstill. Due to this, crude oil prices in the international market have come down significantly. Consumers are optimistic about the reduction in petrol-diesel prices in the country. In such a situation, Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has given an impression about the reduction in oil prices. He said that if cheap crude oil comes to the country, petrol-diesel prices may come down.
Addressing a program in Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Puri said that after the crude oil prices in the world market have come down, oil companies have placed orders to purchase it. When it reaches India, the prices may come down. Now the companies are using the oil stored with them. It was bought at a high price. It will take some time for consumers to get the benefit of the reduction in crude oil prices in the international market.
