History at Chepauk! Prasidh Krishna Destroys Opposition with Record-Breaking Bowling Spell

Indian fast bowler Prasidh Krishna shined on the final day against Afghanistan. He bowled the Afghan batsmen in the third day of the match played at the P. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. He created a new record in ODIs by taking 5 wickets.

This ground always suits spinners. But Prasidh has created a new history on the ground that is said to be favorable for spinners. He became the first Indian bowler to take 5 wickets in ODIs. No Indian bowler had ever taken a five-wicket haul at this ground. His brilliant bowling saw Afghanistan all out for 218 in 44.2 overs.

In this match, the legendary Afghan batsman broke the backbone of the batting order. He single-handedly dismissed all five Afghan opening batsmen. He became only the third bowler in the history of Indian cricket to achieve this feat. Previously, only Manoj Prabhakar and Mohammed Shami had achieved this feat.
