The play-off schedule and venue of the current IPL have been announced. The final match has been shifted from Chinnaswamy Stadium to Ahmedabad. According to the rules, the defending champion team is given the right to host the final match next year. Last year, Bengaluru (RCB) won the title of champion. As a result, RCB’s home ground Chinnaswamy Stadium was supposed to host the final match. But due to some reasons, the BCCI has shifted the final match to the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. For the sixth time in four years, the final match will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium. IPL 2022, 2023 final, 2023 Cricket World Cup final, 2025 IPL final, 2026 T20 World Cup were played.
The final match will be played on the 31st of this month. The play-off round will start on the 26th. The first qualifier will be held in Dharamshala. The eliminator will be held on the 27th and the second qualifier on the 29th. Both the matches will be played at the Mulanpur Stadium in Nua Chandigarh. It is worth noting that Punjab has adopted both Dharamshala and Mulanpur as its home ground. Last year, the Punjab team was the runners-up. Royal Challengers Bangalore won the IPL trophy after a long 18 years.
