Is COVID Back? PM Modi’s Latest Warning Sparks Talk of Returning Restrictions

In view of the US-Iran war, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made a special appeal to the countrymen. He has appealed to reduce the consumption of petrol and diesel. He has also asked to work from home. He has advised not to buy gold for a year as much as possible to preserve domestic currency. Citing national interest, Prime Minister Modi has emphasized on various restrictions. He has said that it is in the national interest to follow the rules of the Covid period. Speaking about Corona… Addressing a public meeting in Hyderabad, the Prime Minister said, keeping in mind the global economy, the growth of oil and gas, people should use public transport, metro, buses and trains as much as possible. After this, people should carpool to save fuel. During the Covid 19 pandemic, we have followed many rules which are not difficult to follow. The Prime Minister has appealed to the countrymen to cooperate in saving foreign exchange. We have to stop foreign travel. We have to decide whether our patriotism is challenging us. There are many places in India where we can go. A lot can be done in India.

​​​​​​​The Prime Minister further said, “Buying gold is another aspect that consumes a lot of foreign exchange. There was a time when people used to donate gold in case of any crisis or war. Today there is no need to donate, but for the sake of the country, we have to decide that for any program or event, we will not buy gold ornaments. Our patriotism is calling us to save foreign exchange. We have to accept the challenge and save foreign exchange.”

‘Reduce the use of petrol-diesel’ – Due to the war between America and Iran, crude oil prices have increased in the global market. Oil production resources in the domestic market are limited. In such a situation, the use of petrol-diesel and LPG has to be reduced. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged the countrymen to suspend foreign travel, adopt public transport and give priority to work from home. Addressing an event in Hyderabad, the Prime Minister said that people should use it in cities where there is a metro. The use of e-vehicles and one-car polling (shared use of one vehicle) should be accelerated. Alternatives like virtual meetings and work from home are necessary. The country used a system like work from home during Corona. There is a need to return to such a lifestyle for the benefit of the country. Petrol-diesel should be used with great caution. Petroleum products should be used in cases of extreme necessity. Reducing dependence on petrol-diesel will reduce the war-like pressure on India.
