Did Anshul Kamboj Skip the IPL for Vijay’s Oath? The Viral Photo That Shook Chennai Fans!

Tamil Nadu has got its ninth Chief Minister in the form of Thalapathy Vijay. Tamilga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) chief and actor-turned-politician C. Joseph Vijay took oath as the Chief Minister on Sunday. Chennai Super Kings fast bowler Ansul Kamboj has suddenly become a topic of discussion during Vijay’s swearing-in ceremony. A few hours before the match between CSK and Lucknow Super Giants at Chepauk, a photo of Vijay’s swearing-in ceremony went viral on social media. The presence of Chennai’s star bowler Ansul Kamboj at Vijay’s swearing-in ceremony had started the discussion. Former cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin posted the photo on X.

During the swearing-in ceremony, a security officer stood on the stage. Whose face perfectly matched that of CSK bowler Ansul Kamboj. The photo of the ‘police officer Kamboj’ standing on the stage started trending and former cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin shared the post in a humorous manner. In the post, he wrote, “Duty always comes first, but on match day it becomes a bit more. Today is match day, take a quick cab and reach Chepauk.” Chennai Super Kings also shared a video of Ansul bowling in the post. It was made clear that he is with the team.

The bowler from Haryana has performed brilliantly in IPL 2026 and has played 11 matches so far and has taken 19 wickets. CSK has added Ansul to the team for Rs 3.40 crores. After Ashwin’s social media post, the popularity of the fast bowler in Chennai has increased in CSK, even though the security officer Ansul Kamboj standing on the stage was not there. But he looked like a pure piece of shit.
