With an aim to attract more investment and boost industrialisation, the state government is organising a two-day investors’ summit in New Delhi from 7th. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will lead the delegation. Industries Minister Sampada Chandra Swain and senior officials of the state government will attend the event. The highlight of the outreach programme will be Odisha Food Pro-2026.
The summit, organised in association with ASSOCHAM, will be attended by leading food processing companies, investors, MSMEs, industry associations and sector experts. The state’s agricultural and marine resources, food processing landscape, logistics facilities, industrial policies and investment opportunities will be presented on this platform. The programme will include exchange of experiences by industry leaders, presentation of knowledge reports on Odisha’s food processing sector, MoUs with various companies and direct discussions between investors and the Chief Minister.
It will focus on attracting new investments in processing, packaging, cold chain, value addition and market opportunities for farmers, fishermen, FPOs, women entrepreneurs and rural entrepreneurs of the state. Apart from food processing, the state government will hold one-to-one meetings with large industry groups in the sectors of stainless steel, downstream chemicals and petrochemicals.
On the second day, the delegation will visit a modern manufacturing plant in Greater Noida and three roundtable meetings will be held on the sectors of aluminium downstream, textiles, apparel, engineering manufacturing, and MSME. Industries Secretary Hemant Sharma said that the main goal of the state’s further industrial development is to convert value addition, strong supply network and reliable investment into projects. This program will play a key role in achieving the goals of Prosperous Odisha, Developed Odisha-2036 and Developed India through Purvoday.
