At that time, a unique scene was seen at a polling station in the state. A robot wearing a saree welcomed voters there and distributed sweets. The video of the incident is now going viral on social media. According to reports, some students of the Government Arts College in Coimbatore made the robot named ‘Tina’ with the aim of encouraging more people to vote.

Tina was deployed near the polling station set up in the college on Thursday. At this time, the robot wearing a saree welcomed voters. It distributed sweets to the people. Not only that, it also informed the people about how to stand in line and vote correctly. Bimal Vijayan, one of the students who developed Tina, said, “This robot uses voice processing and radio control technology. It has also received a very good response from the public.”
