Good news for consumers since the beginning of the month. There has been a big relief in the prices of both gas cylinders and petrol-diesel in July. The price of a 19 kg commercial gas cylinder has been reduced by Rs 183.50. That is, the gas cylinder that was available for Rs 3133 will now be available for Rs 2930. The price of a domestic 14 kg cooking gas cylinder has remained unchanged. Similarly, petrol-diesel prices have also come down. After 2 years, petrol has been reduced by Rs 5 and diesel by Rs 3.
Cheap relief in July- Oil marketing companies revise the prices of LPG cylinders on the first day of every month. The beginning of July has started with a welcome relief. The prices of commercial gas cylinders were recently increasing rapidly due to the Middle East tensions. The price of a 19-kg commercial gas cylinder was reduced in Delhi and other cities on July 1. For the first time this year, oil companies have reduced the price of commercial LPG cylinders. This year, the price of about 19-kg LPG cylinders has been the victim of inflation. In January, the price of a cylinder was 1,691. In May, the price of a commercial cylinder was increased by Rs 993. It reached Rs 3,071.50 in Delhi. There was no relief on June 1 either. The price of the cylinder was increased by Rs 42.
Domestic cylinder price- Domestic cylinder price was revised after a year. On March 7, 2026, the price of cooking gas was increased by Rs 60 per cylinder. In Delhi, the price of a 14.2-kg cylinder increased from Rs 853 to Rs 913. After this, the price was increased by another Rs 29 on June 7. Domestic LPG cylinder became more expensive by Rs 89 for the year.
Petrol-diesel prices reduced- Petrol and diesel prices have become cheaper in the country. Nayara Energy has reduced the price of petrol by Rs 5 per liter and diesel by Rs 3 per liter in the country. This is the first price reduction in more than two years. The move comes after the easing of tensions in West Asia and stabilization of global oil prices. The new naira price has been implemented at more than 7,000 fuel stations in the country. The actual price at petrol pumps may vary from state to state depending on local taxes such as Value-Added Tax (VAT). The main reason for the price reduction is the easing of tensions in the Middle East as the cessation of hostilities has reduced international oil prices. Amid global tensions caused by the US-Iran war, international oil prices have seen a sharp increase.
