Now AI cameras will check the cleanliness of sheets and pillows available in AC coaches. Most of the time, passengers complain that they are given dirty and stained sheets. Now the Railways will solve this problem with a high-tech solution. Union Minister Ashwini Baishnab has informed about this in Parliament. That is, AI will check the cleanliness of sheets and pillows in the laundry. Whether the sheets and pillows provided to passengers in the train are being cleaned properly or not.
AI will check sheets and pillows
According to the report, a pilot project to detect stains from AI cameras has been started in the laundries of Pune, Jaipur and Jodhpur mandals to maintain the quality and cleanliness of the fabrics used in the train. Apart from this, Whito-Meters are also being used to measure the cleanliness and shine of the fabrics in mechanized laundries. This is a device that measures the cleanliness and whiteness of the fabric. CCTV cameras have also been installed in the laundry to monitor the process.
How will the AI camera detect stains?
The AI camera will be installed in the washing and finishing lines to check the cleanliness of the fabric. After cleaning, when the sheet or pillow is passed through the conveyor belt, this camera takes a high-resolution photo of each fabric. The next task is the AI, which will have been trained on data from thousands of clean and white stained fabrics. The system can easily detect small stains of tea stains, oil, junk food and other things. In such a situation, if any fabric is found to be less clean than the set standard, then the system rejects it. The advantage of this is that the bad fabric will be removed from the system itself.
How does the Whito-Meters device work?
The device used to measure the cleanliness of fabrics is called Whito-Meters. It is a type of digital optical device. It shines a special spectrum of light on the surface of the fabric. The machine then measures how much the fabric reflects that light and how much it dries. The cleanliness of the fabric is then given a score based on international standards. The score is then used to determine how clean the fabric is.
