Record US Diesel Surge: How Trucking Freight Hikes Are Escalating Daily Supply Prices

Not only India, but the whole world is struggling with high prices. America is no exception. While prices are rising continuously in America, there has been a huge increase in diesel prices recently, which has broken many old records. Currently, the average price of diesel in America has reached $ 5.85 per gallon. Due to the increase in diesel prices, there is a possibility that the prices of other things, including daily necessities, will also increase.

Diesel was not so expensive before the war:

According to an Associated Press (AP) report, before the war between Iran and the United States started, that is, towards the end of February, the average price of diesel in America was about $ 3.76 per gallon. Now it has increased to $ 5.85. Similarly, the price of Brent crude, the international benchmark for crude oil, has also exceeded $ 95 per barrel. Before the war, the price of Brent crude was around $70.

Diesel prices will increase due to high prices

The impact of the increase in diesel prices will not be limited to transportation costs. It can have a direct impact on the prices of various goods. That is, the price hike may increase further in the coming days.

It can become expensive—

Food and beverages, including daily necessities

Perishable items such as fresh fruits, vegetables, seafood and meat

Delivery companies are also affected by high prices of diesel

The prices of clothing, cosmetics and furniture may also increase

Why did diesel prices increase?

The ongoing war between the US, Israel and Iran is said to be a major reason for the increase in diesel prices. The war has affected the global fuel supply and has increased the price of crude oil. Diesel is an essential fuel for trucks, trains, ships and agricultural machinery. So, if diesel prices increase, the impact will not only be limited to the petrol pump but will also increase the cost of transporting goods from one place to another. As a result, all costs, starting from production to transportation and delivery, increase and finally the burden will be passed on to the consumer.
