Speaking to reporters at the White House on Friday, Trump stated that he has not yet spoken with Elon Musk regarding this issue, but will reach out to him if necessary. Trump remarked, “If there is a problem, I will fix it.” On Thursday, Trump had claimed that Starlink services for Ukraine had been restored. However, according to the news agency Reuters, Ukrainian officials clarified on Friday that restrictions on the service’s speed remain in place.

Amid the Starlink controversy, Trump has extended his support to Elon Musk. He stated that he has full confidence that Musk will act impartially. Trump remarked, “Elon would never do anything wrong. I know him well; he is an impartial person.” This controversy has once again raised a significant question: to what extent should a private company have control over communication systems that are vital to the Ukrainian military?
