The grandeur of Indian culture will be on display during the inaugural day of the BRICS summit scheduled to be held at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. Indian classical dance will be a major highlight of the special dinner hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in honor of the visiting heads of state. A ‘BRICS cultural program’ will be presented during this special dinner, featuring performances by Indian classical dancers and musicians alongside artists from other BRICS member nations. A total of approximately 160 artists will showcase their talent on this global stage, with Indian artists playing a central role. The Magic of Various Classical Dances:
Indian artists representing different regions of the country will perform renowned classical dance forms such as Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Odissi, and Kathak. Additionally, the melodies of traditional Indian musical instruments and musical performances will enhance the event’s appeal. Spanning approximately 20 to 25 minutes, the program will feature captivating vocal performances alongside the dance. The artists have been rehearsing continuously over the past few days to ensure the event’s success. This cultural program is being organized by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) under the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). Significance of the Summit:
This summit holds immense significance as it marks the 20th anniversary of the founding of BRICS. Many top global leaders, including Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin, are participating in the event. ‘Bharat Mandapam’ has been beautifully decorated in preparation for the summit.
