Saudi Arabia-Pakistan Defense Deal 2026: 13,000 Troops Deployed Under Mutual Defense Pact

New Delhi: How much is a Pakistani soldier worth? Saudi Arabia has put up an auction for Pakistani soldiers. In fact, Saudi Arabia released $3 billion (Rs. 2.7 lakh crore) to Islamabad after Pakistan sent 13,000 soldiers to Riyadh in fear of a war with Iran. This is seen as an agreement between the two countries. In 2025, Saudi Arabia signed a defense agreement with Pakistan. This agreement strengthened Saudi Arabia’s security and also promised economic benefits for Pakistan.

According to a Bloomberg report, Saudi Arabia has given $3 billion at a time when Pakistan has deployed 13,000 soldiers for Saudi security. Due to this, this money is being added to the bid of the Pakistani army.

According to Al Arabiya, this additional aid amount will be given to Pakistan within a week. In addition, the deadline for Pakistan’s previous loan from Saudi Arabia has also been extended.

Defense agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia…

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia signed a defense agreement in September 2025. According to this agreement, an attack on one of the countries will be considered an attack on both. Through this defense agreement, Saudi Arabia placed itself under the nuclear umbrella, as Pakistan is a nuclear-armed state with about 150 nuclear weapons.

While this agreement strengthened Saudi Arabia’s position in the Gulf, Saudi Arabia also promised financial assistance to Pakistan. According to this agreement, Saudi Arabia announced investments in Pakistan’s health and infrastructure. However, even after seven months of the agreement, Saudi Arabia has not invested in Pakistan.

But now, fearing the threat of war with Iran, Pakistan has sent troops and weapons to Riyadh. Saudi Arabia has released an additional $ 3 billion in aid. In terms of soldiers, Saudi Arabia has estimated the value of a Pakistani soldier at Rs 200 million.
