Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan Resigns, Expresses Gratitude to PM

Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned from the post of Union Education Minister. He has sent his resignation letter to the Prime Minister. Dharmendra has submitted his resignation letter by posting it on social media platform X. In it, he wrote that my young colleagues have been dedicated to students, teachers and education reform for more than four decades. I always believe that a strong and visionary education system is the foundation of a strong nation.

He said that I deeply respect the aspirations, feelings and their legitimate expectations of the youth of the country. Fulfilling the dreams of the young generation of India is the moral concept of all our political and social lives. I express my gratitude to the Prime Minister for the opportunity to serve the nation under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He wrote that on May 3, 2026, there was an irregularity in the NEET-UG examination. The Government of India took this seriously and ordered a CBI inquiry. The exam was canceled and the NEET exam date was announced again. It was also decided to conduct the exam in CBT mode next year. Our main goal was to conduct the exam of more than 20 lakh students smoothly. For this, the entire government worked with an integrated approach. In this, the central government along with the state government, especially the district administration, played an important role. With this, the re-examination was held on June 21 with the cooperation of students, guardians and parents. From the first day, I took responsibility for this and never turned my back on this situation. My resolve was that we will not let the hard work of any talented student go to waste, nor will we allow injustice to be done to any student due to the examination mafia. The NEET-UG results declared on July 16 were satisfactory. In which many talented students from poor backgrounds also got success….
